    Nothing new to report. I am getting used to the sound, the water-fall like sound from the outlet (the silencer sponge) is also quite a bit. If I were to do this over I will most definitely use a sump system. I have not recd the new impeller yet, once I replace it I will post my update. Cheers!

    And another dumb question here. Do we need to run the skimmer 24/7? What happens if we run it 12/7 while monitoring the chemicals closely.

    There's people here that run skimmerless systems. They aren't a necessity but I would watch everything closely and I would think running it at night would be best to help oxygenate the water at night. Do you have a refugium?

    Thx. I do not have a refugium, the skimmer hangs on the back of my 75 g tank and then I have an Eheim cannister filter. Not planning to have any fancy corals but got a couple of leather corals right now.
