funny many years ago, I would wait until lights had been off for a few hours and all corals had closed down before doing water changes

It's funny that I think a common misconception is that coral is extremely fragile, and so delicate that it's bad to even touch it or to let the water go slightly out of parameter for a few hours. But really I think it's mostly just a matter of not knowing what exactly is good or bad for each coral in particular.

What I really think is good to show is that a lot of coral have evolved to handle certain kinds of environments, just like any other animal, no matter how extreme they are.

It's mostly just our understanding of, and our ability to identify, coral species that makes it difficult to really nail down each coral's requirements and what their natural habitat is so we can attempt to recreate a reasonable environment for it to live.

Anyways, great video, I love watching all of the natural reef experience videos for all of us that can't actually dive on/vist reefs of any sort. I could probably spend a lot of time going through the related videos to the one linked here. :)
