lowering nitrate aslo how to raise ph

Ok I did that and if I did it correct it turned pink at .5 making it 7

 

That's pretty low for alk. Raising that up will help keep your PH up. I have mine at about 9 right now, stable.

ummmm many many ways. I personally use a 2 part dosing system to keep alk and ca up. I have dosing pumps. Sort of like you see here: BRS 2 Part Calcium & Alkalinity Total Package with Dosers - Bulk Reef Supply

 

There are tons of other products out there as well.

 

Ok any way I can add it without a dosing pump?

 

If I remember right you can add the calk to your ato at like quater strength I will have to check asgian
I only say cause 200 is a little steep right now

 

Yeah you don't have to have a pump. It just makes it easier. I used a syringe for a long time

 

Does the kalk come with good detailed instructions on how to use?
I have nol problem using a syring or maybe ill use some of my tax return to buy it or wjhat about a kalk reactor?

 

I've never used a kalk reactor so I wouldn't know. You can find some pretty good instructions online about dosing 2 part. You have to use both though. You start at about 1/2 ml per gallon, dose for about a week and test. You can then adjust from there, up or down.
