I would like to lower the water level in my DT and can't figure out how. The water is touching the center brase now and I feel it should be lowered. I have a 75g with 20g long sump fuge. This is probably something really simple, I just can't figure it out. Thanks.

To lower the water in the DT you need to lower the teeth/height of the weir if you have a drilled tank overflow. Not sure how the process works if you have a HOB overflow.

Is the tank drilled? Do you use and Overflow? Pics of these may help us.

If you have a sump, slow down the return pump via a valve. That's what I do. More water sits in the sump that way.

With my HOB overflow this makes no difference. It just slows down the circulation between the two tanks. My overflow has a screw that you loosen then slide the "basket" up and down. The lower you make it the more water is in the sump and less in the DT. That said I use the sump for top off purposes. My refugium is a HOB. My return pump from the sump is only turning like 100 GPH so its not anywhere near the 600GPH that my overflow can do.
