    Hi all

I have recently moved my Elegance and torch corals to my 60 gallon tank
    (flow issues in larger tank)

I upgraded the lighting on that set up last weekend (new 6 x 54 watt T5 canopy - was 6 x 40 watt T8s when it just housed GSP , Anthellia and shrooms)

I could not get the Geisseman lamp upgrade at time of purchase
they will have them for me Mid March ( 4 x aquablue 14k and 2 x Actinic plus 22k) which will then put them under the same lighting only lower wattage than they where in the 5ft

    in the mean time
I have 10k lamps and 20K lamps 4 of each ( so I have spares and can mess with combos

question ( yes sorry its been a long winded post for 1 simple question)

my tank looks aesthetically better with 4 x 20k and 2 x 10k ( using these cheap brand lamps supplied with fitting)
But is this light adequate for a 10 day period until my brand name tubes come in?

    Steve

yeah I would think it is fine! I actually turned off my lights completely for 7 days when I had an outbreak of dinoflagelites...and everything was fine. I had clams, frogspawns, hammers, and a bunch of SPS.

The only thing I would think you would have to do with the upgrading of the lights is to acclimate them to the higher light level.
