LPS opening at night?....

    Ha- darn roommates! Mine do the exact same thing. I also have numerous LPS in my 46g, but they still extend feeders despite the 4 blue leds on my sundial. The nice thing is that the blue leds put out very little light and just give a slight blue appearance to the tank when everything else is dark.

    Thanks for all the replies!

    I started turning my Blue LED's off most of the night. After the first night when I looked early in the morning with my LED flashlight on my Iphone, The CandyCanes were open beautifully. I guess I never noticed my closed brain coral also opening before, it was all puffed up as well.

    I have never fed any of my coral, just light and the water column. I do spot feed my anenomes some pellets or frozen once or twice a week.

    I only run mine for 4 hours then give the tank 6 hours of darkness.
