Just wondering what types of corals are everyone's fav?

For any newbies, here's some examples of each kind:

LPS (large polyp stony) - Torch, Frogspawn, Plate

SPS (small polyp stony) - Montipora, Acropora, Stylophora

    Softies - Xenia, Mushrooms, Zoas

Mine is LPS all the way, the dynamics are fascinating & they do well under less intense lighting.

If you vote, give some explanation of why, if you like.

    Thanks!

I voted for SPS because I think hairy sticks are the coolest. I can't keep anything but softies alive though. ;D

I'm going with LPS. i just think they are the most interesting, both in their looks and behavior.

I like SPS. Ive had a softies tank for 6-7 years and it was OK. Now that the hobby has evolved I can get some sweet orals. I'm trying to get one of every montipora that is available (i know iknow thats not even possible) ! I finnaly ave some colorful zoas, and if my city had a LFS that would stock even marginally cool corals I would buy alot more.

Softies- Zoas with red/orang (i got pumpkin patch, fire and ice, orange bam bam,
eclipse, and my eagle eyes have good red/orange coloring)

LPS- I really want a torch, have a bunch of chalice on the way and a cool acan.
Frogspawn also are neat, i gots me a light and dark purple one.

SPS- Superman digi. I got an encrusting superman monti that is awesome colors and im gonna frag pices onto a big old arcro rock skelly.

    Thanks for the replies everyone.

Here's a pic to the testament of my love of LPS, I picked up this radiant Frogspawn, best color I've ever seen on one. The pic is pretty much exactly how it looks in person:

LPS. I have a bit of it all though.

SPS is very boring IMO. It just sits there. It's colorful, yay!, but that's about it.

Softies grow too fast in a lot of cases and are mostly drab looking IMO.

LPS, on the other hand, sway wonderfully, have tons of color, is hard to find in a boring brown, and grows in a more interesting way IMO. Plus, you can feed them and watch them eat. Totally rad.

My 90 reef is slowly turning into a all LPS tank.
i am currently working on a certain spot in my tank to be covered in torch corals.
