So this guy came in on my liverock as a 2inch circle. He's now 6inches across after 2-3 months and has easy 3 inch sweeper tentacles. He's brown with little green dots and the sweepers appear to come out of the dots. It looks like SPS but the tentacles have me thinking. Anyone know what species?

Way strange color...but it could be a chalice maybe? I know Hollywood stunners have sweepers. But the color is really throwing me off as is the growth rate. Very fast growing! LOL.

It's very fast growing, noticeable soft flexible growth around the edges that hardens within a couple of days. Under blue lights it appears darkish purple and the green really glows. It has many tiny small ridges covering the entire surface.

I would have to say some sort of Chalice, just a pretty fast growing one which is fairly uncommon.

If it is a pavona, it will sting and overgrow pretty much anything that gets in its way. It's a very aggressive coral.
