well as in my old tank, i had a huge apitasia prob. which i still have in my tank. im setting up a new tank and what i want to know is, that would hypo-hyper salinity kill the good bacteria and coralline algae on it? i dont care if u loose any featherdusters or worms as i can transfer those from my old tank.

Osmotic Shock Treatment should not affect the bacteria as long as the salinity is lowered slowly over a few days, then raised slowly back to normal after the Aiptasia are dead. The Coraline should also survive, although it may bleach slightly during treatment.
