So the long tentacle anenome i put in my tank 1 month ago moved into a cave 1 week ago. I'm afraid he might die back there if its not getting light. It looked healthy and happy before it moved and even now, what little bit of it I can see still looks good. Its a a 75 gallon tank with decent flow and a 150 watt metal halide and 2 24 watt actinic bulbs.
    water parameters:
    temp 78-79
    SG 1.024
    PH 8.3
    nitrate 0
    phosphate 0
    calcium 480
    KH 12
    iodine 0.85

Help! What should I do? I would move it but its under the rock which all my other rockwork rests on. Also, if anybody has any ideas of how to get my percs to host with it that would be great.

Normally Nems travel in the tank to a place where they best feel there needs are met so i wouldnt do anything for now just keep a eye on him. Also Welcome to 3Reef.com :)

I hope your nem comes back out... I just got mine Saturday, a rose bubble and now its deflated so I'm panicking a little bit. As far as clowns hosting with it, what I did was target fed brine shrimp over a giant toadstool everyday, and eventually the clowns starting staying in it, not full on hosting with it though. Then they started getting in a torch, they didn't host it but did kill it, then they started doing headstands in a hairy mushroom, killed it as well. So i got the nerve up try a new, and decided to go with a bta reading they are the "easiest." it moves about three inches from where i set it, and then opened real nice. I then target fed some shrimp over it 18 hours later and the clowns went nuts and are full on hosting it. My clowns are tank raised ocellaris clowns so the whole tank raised clowns won't host is non sense

I believe it's under the sponsors forum, as the poster is a sponsor here.

It is one of the best images I have seen with regard to anemones and clownfish. It's too cute and funny and curious as to how and why that clownfish gets so far down.
