LTA observations

Wanted to hear from some LTA owners on their observation.

I have had the LTA for 2 weeks - only moved 2 inches once it anchored in the perfect spot. I have have been playing around with the flow over the last few days and have been keeping the flow med to low around the LTA. Seems like the stronger the flow the more the LTA bobs, shifts and open and closes.

I am wondering if that is a good sign or bad sign - does the extra movement mean it's unhappy and might move?

Has anyone had the anemone move when wq is great but have adjusted flow?

Any feed back would be great

 

i dont have any tanks right now but i have had several lta's and they all seemed to stay in pretty much the same spot. not much movement out of these guys. also they prefer to attach to something under the sand. mine would attach to the base of the rock under the sand so they have the sand protecting their foot.

 

it is attached to the glass under 4 inches of sand - like I said it has not moved around the tank and seems to be thriving - just would like to hear other observations

 

its foot is attached to the base of my live rock that is about 3 inches below the sand.

 

well i mean used to be i dont have the tank any more

 

my lta doesnt like too much flow..mine moved about 5" toward the middle after i added another powerhead a couple days ago..

 

So it moved after you added a powerhead? How long was it in the tank before it moved again? Does it open and close a few times a day?
