Just added a LTA and 2 maroon/gold clowns. When I added them the ph spiked acidic. I did a water change and now he has a clear slime coming from it. Any time it has gotten settled on the rock the clowns have knocked him off. I got the ph fixed and now some tentacles are shriveled with its mouth exposed. What could be wrong and how do I get it to foot.

50gal tank with 45lbs live rock. Lunare wrasse lenon peel angel 2 clown 1 LTA. 20 turbo snails 25 hermits 1 pincushion urchin and the anemone.

I do not have a hospital tank or anyway to rehome the clowns right now. Should I try and frag it.

    What to do?

i would let it be for a little while, dont try to move it.
fragging it at this point would be a death sentence since its already stressed out. ive only heard of fragging BTA's so im not sure if its even possible, maybe someone else will chime in. but either way dont do that.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
No fragging is definitely not an option.

Take a larger diameter piece of PVC pipe and place the Anemone's base in it, in a lower flow area.

It's normal for anemones to expel waste and or zooxenthallea during acclimation, it's also normal for anemones to go through periods of fluid exchange, appearing shrunken and inflated.

It's does not look like the best specimen, so save the images to give to the LFS if the anemone dies.

Tank is about two months old. Just finished its first cycle before adding the LTA. And I'm running x2 18" T8s on a hood system.

Honestly, you should take it back to the lfs or try and find someone close by that will take it. Your tank is too new and you don't have adequate lighting in a tank that size to support an anemone.

    Check Ammonia/Nitrite.
    Do water change.
Your lighting can not support a LTA stay away from sensitive inverts until you upgrade your lighting.
    Check specific gravity as well.

    Good Luck
