    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    If you have Nitrites you had Ammonia and the spike is over currently that is probably what killed your inverts, it's a domino effect. One dies ammonia level rises, this ammonia level kills another inverts, ammonia level rises........Try keeping your SG around 1.025, your corals and inverts will appreciate it.
