Is it normal for a LTA to be happy and not attach to anything or for a LTA to be considered happy they have to attach to something?

The reason I asks, my LTA has been in the tank for about 5 month now, and never attach to anything. "it" sits in a 3/4 piece of PVC (which “it” found on it own) in the low current area of the tank. It open in the "day" and closes at "night", "it" even has two hosted clowns. All around he seems to be a happy LTA but the only thing is he is not/will not attach to anything

Typically an anemone would stretch and wedge their foot into crack to secure itself. It sounds like your anemone found a spot that it feels comfortable in. Since it has been in a low flow area, it probably feels it is not necessary to attach, but it is probably sticking to the walls in the PVC pipe. As long as your anemone is opening, closing, eating and is not showing any signs of stress, we would consider your anemone happy.
