    Thanks guys.

Little update. I tested before I left for vacation, and my nitrates were at 1ppm. Upon returning, they were at 4ppm and the skimmer had sucked up some debrie, and unable to maintain a consistent water level. So, a couple of water changes later (boy, is a 40 gal system easier to WC than a 100!) I'm down to 2ppm nitrates. I plan on doing at least another WC tomorrow and Thursday, and hopefully pick up travis's frag pack this weekend.

I'm running about 200-250 ml of Ecobak bio pellets, but having a hard time tuning in the skimmer. Producing a little bit of skimmate, but not what I would expect with detecatable nitrates. Perhaps I just need to be patient and let the skimmer settle in?

I guess I'm just a little frustrated at this point. I would have thought the biopellets and skimmer to be good to go at this point, but as the saying go, nothing good happens fast in this hobby... :)

I guess the skimmer and biopellets overheard my complaints, because they really started to produce some quality skimmate yesterday.

I apologize, this thread is getting boring... I'll post some pics tonight :p

Tested 0.5ppm nitrates tonight, so it looks like the biopellets are kicking in just in time! I head to Travis's tomorrow... ;D

Tonights photos are of this week's finds:

Sanjay's Double Black Photon Clownfish. Absolutely stunning in person, but very hard to photograph as they are still very active exploring the tank. My son's favorite movie right now is Finding Nemo, and so of course he immediately named them Nemo and Marlin as they came out of the bag. Oh well... ::)

My wife and I have been looking for almost 2 months for this fish, and we finally found one that met her extremely high standards:

    Couple of zoas (IDs please?):

No more fish for a while. I'm well aware I've been pushing the livestock a bit fast, and so the bio load needs time to adjust.

    Thanks for viewing! :)

The closer one is Eagle Eye (I actually just picked up a similar sized frag myself :)). Do you have a better pick of the farther away one?

Not at the moment. Under daylights, its brown with a bright orange center, with the center glowing under the blues.

Frags are in the tank and looking pi$$ed, lol. Most are showing polyps already...

Thanks a ton for the work of getting that all together!

You, of all people, asking for a FTS?!?! I could hold it hostage, you know...

But, I'll be a gentleman and oblige... Tomorrow though... :)
