HAHA, 100% silicone right? Cant go wrong.... ;)

Sure did, that thing is amazing. Loving the reef crest mode. I'm curious as to how fast I can run it without creating a sandstorm, but we'll see. I did choose a heavier sand...

The main setting of my VorTechs is ReefCrest as well! And I use the Short Pulse Mode for a few hours everyday to lift up some crap off the sand bed.

    I totally agree!

SeminoleB, those are very kind words, thank you. So far, my engineering skills have shown their true colors, however, I'm afraid I am not much of an artist. That part scares me!

Couldnt resist. I saw your post, and immediately thought of the GE II I had in the garage for the bathroom.... lol

I tried the Short Pulse Mode, and almost overflowed my tank with the wave! Nutrient export worked better. There's only about 1/2"-3/4" between waterline and top of glass.

Ok, ok, enough fun for today. I will post a proper FTS tomorrow when things settle down, I promise!

The tank did clear up a bunch today by the time I got home, so I tested parameters, and everything seems spot on, so I didn't end up changing out the water... Added sand and rocks instead. Need another bag of sand, I guess I underestimated how much sand I need to cover a 26"x26" piece of real estate. :p

Played around with the skimmer a bunch, it was spitting out microbubbles like a sailor spitting profanity. Think I got that solved as well.
