My 125 gallon mixed reef tank was re-built on February 2011 but was originally setup in 1990. A lot of changes has taken place but all the rock is from the beginning!

It is bare bottom with a lot of rock. I love a lot of rock which gives my tank great stability. All rock is over an eggcrate shelf and a closed loop moves water under the rock to keep bottom clean of detritus. BTW I am from Puerto Rico and we speak and write in spanish so excuse my english, jeje.

I have a lot of corals! I love softies, LPS and SPS.. i love them all! That is why I have them all. Love how the softies move in the current.

My lights are 2-175w Metal Halides 20k, Plusrite from ebay, 2 -UVL VHO T12 Superactinic and 454 160w 72", 1 Reefbrite blue led 48" strip and a led moonlight strip.

In my sump I have a SWC 200 skimmer with a Bubble Blaster, a TLF 150 Phosban Reactor a TLF 550 Biopellets reactor, Carbon reactor, chaeto and also dose vinager! Yes all that.. I feed a lot, my nitrates are undetectable and my phosphate is at .02ppm. Salinity 1.025, Temp 79-81F with an Arctica 1/3hp chiller.

A calcium reactor keeps calcium at 450 and alkalinity at 8kh. A peristaltic pump feeds the reactor and a Milwaukee controller keeps the PH between 6.4 and 6.5.

The ATO is a 5 gallon recipient with a magnetic float and a Aqualifter. I use RO/DI water. I change 25% of the water monthly. Add Seachem Reef Plus and Reef Trace one cap daily.

Here are some yesterday photos. At the end there is a video of the filtration. If you want to see a video of the tank it is at the contest here at 3Reef.com. My tank is video 17. Here is a link to the contest.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Looks like a huge RP as well, or at least a red tabling acropora.

    Extremely impressive mixed reef.

A Huge frogspawn!! Muy grande, jeje...

The one touching the glass is a Red Planet. It was a frag when introduced in March 2011

Absolutely beautiful. You'll have to share your secret with me... my RP was literally a 3/4" nub when I got it, now... it's a 3/4" nub that's encrusted really well lol. 6 months I've had that thing and it's shown me almost no love lol. Your monti caps are amazing too. I am envious.

If there is something that really makes corals grow is a combination of metal halides with a calcium reactor! Before the calcium ractor my corals never grew that fast!

Ahhh yes I am very proud and happy with my system!

    Thanks for all coments.
