ya i want one but im pretty sure they are huge bucks. i would much rather rock one of these some MHs just due to electric bill and heat alone.

You know I hate to say this but I just don't see LED's making a comeback anytime soon. Especially after hearing about so many LFS's trying them out only to convert back to the light they were using before. But who knows, it certainly seems like a well thought out design. I am really curious to know how long it took them to actually design and make such a unique fixture with so many features. This company has just pushed LED technology but IMHO it is just not profitable with the econemy and everything that has happend with LED's.

This looks like an absolute amazing piece of kit. I love the fact that its totally adjustable to how you want it, with out the rigidity of having to buy and use new bulbs just to experiment with colour.
I would however prefer a German company to do something - now im not saying the Chinese company make rubbish stuff, but the Germans are renowned for quality and stability and longevity with their products.

Its under 2k for a 3 ft light. I think its hard to sell w/o proof of coral growth. If they want I'll try one and show reports.

    Unit lacks

LED's would be great! But one must make a unit that has a timer integrated in to it.

With the above unit how would you hook up a timer, How does one know what color temp it is..

I would like to see a unit that is close to this with a timer with stated temps/outputs.. I want it 6700k at one point and 20000k at another and so on, all with timers in place..they still have some things to over-come..

The all red tank, or all green is just silly! i think the reef would really feel at home! NOT!!!

    Thanks for reading,
    Mike

HI, iv'e just changed my 200ltr tank to LED, [ 4X12W ] dual strips, [white & blue ]. The effect is amazing and everything is blooming, When you concider there is no heat, and the electric bill is no more than the cost to run 2 or 3 ordinary lightbulbs, i'd say that this is the way to go. Regards.
