    Hi, I have lurked here while researching how to set up my new 50 gallon(some say 55 gallon) tank. I have a 19 gallon sump with a small refugium. I am using a HOB overflow with a return pump rated at 550 GPH, so I am probably actually running at 400-450 GPH after head and balancing. My skimmer is an ASM G1x and I have just upgraded from an Odyssea 4 x 54 light fixture to an AquaticLife T5 HO 4 x 54 fixture. I am using a RO/DI unit to make may water and checking salinity with a refractometer. ALL of this knowledge, I got right here, so I just want to say thank you.

    After checking local prices for live rock and sand, I decided to go with "The Package" from Tampa Bay Saltwater. It has been a great experience and his stuff blows away anthing I saw at my local (multiple) LFS.

    Nice looking setup so far. What macroalgae do you have in your fuge? I don't recognize it.

    Edit: Whoops, looks like feather caulerpa. Anyway, great set-up
