Hi All, im gonna start the thread on my 180 build. I have been trying to wait til i got more pics and progress but its thanksgiving and im bored so i figured id post to stay busy. The tank will be in my basement, i already tore down the old paneling and shelfing on the wall the tank will be and am halfway thru running 2 dedicated gfi outlets.

I also ran one of three 1/4" water lines that will be used with my litermeter 3, unit will do my auto top off and automatic water changes. Im debating getting a 2nd litermeter 3 to use for kalwasser and maybe future dosing needs but i dunno. Im trying to make everything as automated as i can cause with taking care of other people tanks the last thing i have time to do is mess with mine.

That as far as ive gotten with water exchange line and theres a shot of my litermeter 3 working flawlessly on my 90 as my top off unit.

Below is a shot of the equipment ive been gathering over the past couple months.

    The 180 tank

My warner marine as200e skimmer, geo 412 media reactor, and 72" aquatinics constellation fixture.

My 2 month old R/O unit cause i knew id need more water making power :)

Then heres a few shots of fish equipment taking over the bar in my basement.

Lets see if i can remember what i have sitting on the bar.

    litermeter 3 water exchange module/pump
    litermeter 3 remote pump
    2 tunze nanostream 6055's
    2 tunze single controllers
    2 tunze nanostream 6045's
    2 106 cfm fans
    Milwaukee par meter
    Tank grounding plug
    2 250 watt stealth heaters
    a reefkeeper 2 controller
    2 outlet reefkeeper expansion socket
    ehiem pump for my skimmer
    magnavore 6ER glass magnet cleaner
    2 all-glass megaflow plumbing kits
    pinpoint salinity monitor
    wireless pinpoint thermometer
57 watt aqua ultraviolet uv sterilizer
    supreme drive mag pump
    vortech mp40
    icecap battery backup for vortech
    lab grade ph probe
    high accuracy tropic marin thermometer
tropic marin hydrometer (sinks to measure specific gravity by wt. of SW)
    2 1" bulkheads

Oh, and a 50.00 gift certificate i got to my favorite lfs for my birthday on sunday. :)

I still need another vortech mp40 and my geo 618 calcium reactor. I am going to have the sump built by miracles in glass or aquarium obssessed. I want everything to be perfect and tru dream tank. I have had a few tank and most look like mad scientist projects *see below* and wanna think and incorporate everything i can from the beginning to avoid that. Below is a pic of my current 90 which everything will be getting transfered into, im going to stick with black sand and have another 120 lbs to add to the 180 that i forgot to take a pic of.

Heres how its grown into mad scientist looking project

For the hay of it i thru in a few pics of my new additions, i got a tailspot blenny which is doing very well...

and...my supernatural montipora and i guess regular montipora, lol.

Well thats all i have to share so far, but hopefully that will change by the end of the weekend. Any comments or suggestions to help me avoid the mad scientist project look in the future would be appreciated, im trying to think of everything on this one.

I'm keeping my eye on it as well! NICE stuff! If I could have half of that I would be in heaven.

    Here's a suggestion...perhaps a stand with a front door? :D

Matt, i have a 14x39 watt aquatinics constellation fixture, individual reflectors build in fans...really nice. I have had t5s before and have seen some awesome sps tanks with t5 only, if i dont like it the backup plan is a 72" maristar mh/t5 fixture.
