After hearing horror stories about fish jumping out of tanks, I went ahead and ordered the 1/4" mesh screens from BRS. It actually was quite easy to do this! I might add some velcro on the sides yet as the koralia cords get in the way.

Then I got some nice pineapple sponges everywhere. they finally started to die down as of recently which I'm glad because I think they are UGLY.

after adding the reactor, the HA went from this:

To this! In this picture, I also changed the lights to the ATI bulbs. Notice the difference! It's soooo much better!

Just for fun, this is my mandarin I caught in action of grabbing a pod

I then got an order from liveaquaria. I got 3 carberryi anthias (those of which died the first time) and some corals! The carberryi anthias all came in with severe bacteria infections and died within days of each other. liveaquaria refunded me and I ordered 3 more which have been doing very well.

pink hammer which my peppermints recently started munching on! They are now in the sump!

zoanthid rock. Too bad the miami hurricanes took over the radioactive dragons eye and choked them out.

These are the 2nd batch of the anthias
    [IMG]

Then my next battle was bryopsis!! arg. I took care of this with tech M. That stuff really works!!

The anthias when they were first put in the tank. Beautiful fish!

$10 zoa frag I got that ended up having zoa-eating nudibranches on it. I dipped it and picked them off with tweezers and haven't seen them since.

my fav pic of the anthias. so gorgeous!

My next fish was a yellow head jawfish! He's just so entertaining.

At least he's right up front and center! He eats NLS pellets like a champ now.

next was a duncan coral which went from looking like this
    [IMG]

    to this
    [IMG]

Finally the coralline in the tank is taking off. I can only associate this change with the fact that I switched from instant ocean salt to red sea coral pro salt. I am so glad I did. That salt is just amazing.

My latest addition, the skunk cleaner shrimp

remember those little clowns? well they are growing fast!

remember that little birdsnest frag? well it's getting big

This guy has always been a little weird. His growth is nothing like the green frogspawn

This is the tank as of June 25th

This guy eats the NLS pellets, can you tell?

I recently found out that one of my carberryi anthias is in fact an evansi anthias...

piece that broke off at the LFS which is how I got a discount lol.

That is all! phew what a journey! It's not entirely over either. I plan on getting some more fish and corals definitely. I also may upgrade to LED lighting eventually and get a controller of some sorts. Thanks for hanging out and feel free to ask any questions or make suggestions!!

I am really considering biopellets as I saw a thread on here on how well it works! I am not sure if I would continue the GFO as well.

    Thank you very much!!

Thanks! This was the first way I assembled the rocks in the way that I liked. I haven't changed it since :) I always liked the minimalistic aquascape. The pukani rock is very porous so there are no problems in the reproduction of pods, amphipods or mysid shrimp.

That brs reactor rocks! i have one and it cured my GHA in my 20. Plans for any more fish? i think a tang would look great in there.

Thank you! I do have plans for more fish. Right now I am trying to get someone to order me a mccoskers flasher wrasse which is turning out to be difficult :-/ I also want a tailspot blenny, an orchid dottyback and a kole tang :)

Thanks! Yeah I can't believe how much they have grown! I will have to find that picture collage of growth I made with dates.

Thank you! The 1500gph is PLENTY of flow. I am running a mag 12 pump for the return and I only have it dialed back at around the 1:00 position. I think everyone always wants more money if they can get it :) I also have 2 koralia 1400s in my tank and have tons of flow, almost too much for my poor LPS. Imo you want more contact time down in the sump anyway for the skimmer to properly work. If it's flying on through, I don't think the water would be properly skimmed.

Thanks! I can't wait until they look like colonies :)
