Thanks! No, I haven't gotten the biopellets yet... I am going back to school so money is tight around here. I'm hoping a nice birthday/christmas present is in my future hopefully :) (birthday is in Dec too lol)

    FTS and other updated pics

    Took all of these today!
I haven't done much but add some new corals to the tank. I want to use biopellets but I'll probably have to wait for a nice christmas present! I just thought I'd share some photos of the coral growth and new corals. I'm going to need to start dosing something soon if I keep buying them at this rate!

My last anthias. He's the only one that would eat well. I'm not sure I will get anthias again. even feeding 3 times a day wasn't enough unfortunately. I think the female that died may have had internal parasites.

my kole tang has easily doubled in size since I got him!

    Welcome to 3reef!
    I love your tank.
A couple of questiona...how much Pukani rock did you buy? Was it dry or live? If both how much of each?
    TIA
    Great photos too.

    Thank you very much!

I got 20 lbs of pukani and 40 lbs of ecorocks from BRS. All of it was dry and quite light which is why it looks more than 60lbs of rock! In hindsight, I really wish I would've gone with all pukani. That rock is so nice and porous! The only downside to the pukani is the phosphates that leech out. I cycled my tank with it, so I didn't mind that and GFO took care of the hair algae. The top 2 rocks on each side were the live rocks I added which were fully cured. :)

Thanks a bunch I love the Pukani, I used it for my nano and love it. I'm ordering dry for my 113 and wanted an idea if 60 lbs(dry) would be enough, due to it being so light that the volume is bigger for the same weight of other rocks including the eco rock.

Really? How did you find out? If it was the case it makes sense for me that the cyano creep was only on the newer pukani rocks..
I so want a mandarin but Im gonna wait till we have more copepod population in our tank. Yours is so fat and juicy. Love it!
