I found out about the phosphates from word of mouth and the atrocious amount of hair algae I had after putting it in the tank lol. It goes away in time especially if you run GFO. so you cyano could very well be from the pukani. I never had cyano *knock on wood*

My mandarin was the first fish I added :-X People were in an uproar when they heard on the other forum. BUT I knew she was eating live brine in the store. So I got live brine for months and enriched them with phytoplan. I used a sea squirt to train her to eat food from. I also had tons of pods right off the bat though. I haven't fed live brine in probably 3 months and she is still fat and sassy :) now whenever I feed my corals with the sea squirt she looks at me like where's mine?! I'll have to get her some treats soon. I haven't tried frozen brine though and she might take it.

As much as Im tempted to get one, I gotta wait. I only see tiny tiny copepods on the glass at the moment, Im doubtful that a mandarin would thrive.
Looking at your corals, makes me wanna order some SPS frags to try out. Id update on my thread when that happens (It might happen sooner than you think 8) ).

I got my mandarins when my tank was fairly new, they were taking frozen @ the store then got to my tank and refused till they were near starving and had decimated the pod population. I finally got them to take blood worms soaked in fresh garlic juice. Now they'll eat any meaty food I throw in there and are fatties.

    Glad yours is doing well.

I'm looking to purchase the same paint you used on your stand to repaint mine.:)

Where is the best place to purchase it? Thanks!

Yep! that's where I got mine! My stand is the eggshell finish I believe. I didn't want it too shiny.

    Thanks!

Sounds like a plan! because that stuff has a lot of dead things inside!

    Hello Lynn,

Love the pic's and your whole write up. It is really nice. The tank and fish look beautiful. Keep up the good work.

I do have a question on the screen tops you have there. did it come together like that in different sizes of did you have to make it like a kit?
