At night the past few nights one of my female anthias lays at the bottom of the tank.

There are no bullys in the tank

I have had them less than a week, there are 2 females and a male. all have amazing color, water params are great and the female has no visible signs of disease
thse fish would eat all day if you gave them the chance,

is this just a strange behavior of them like clowns that sleep upside down or should I be looking for a problem

You think there are no aggressive fish. Anthias are very aggressive and this is typical submissive behavior to keep from getting their butt kicked. No worries though until fins starts disappearing.... :)

well that makes sense, only other fish in there is a little green chromis

I have seen a bit of pecking from the male to the females, nothing overly aggressive just thought the laying at the bottom was kind of odd, she seems to be going to the exact same spot and not moving, but the minute i feed she darts out like there is no tomorrow
