MA887 digital refractometer got wet

Somehow some water has got into my refractometer and I am wondering if this has happened to anyone else and if it ruined the refractometer?

 

try putting it in big zip lock bag of rice for a few days, it worked on my cell phone that was in my pocket while i was in the pool for 2 hours, idk how well it'll work with salt water but its worth a shot

 

That will be my next thing to try, I am going to rinse it down in isopropyl and if that doesn't work the rice bag is next.

 

If it's saltwater, you really should rinse with freshwater before worrying about drying it.
