I will be taking the family to Disney while the MACNA conference is going on. For those of you that have been, how is it? I know I'm speaking to a biased crowd here. ;-) I'm just wondering if it's worth the possible backlash from the wife and kids if I sneak out on them and Mickey for a few hours.

Some considerations. I'm flying to Orlando, so I'll have limited room in my baggage for purchases at the trade show, and livestock purchases won't be an option. I guess I could always ship something to my home if I see a price that it is too good to pass up.... see, I'm talking myself into it already. ;D

Maybe I'll hijack my own post, and ask the experienced MACNA attendees what they would be sure to check out if they only had a couple of hours to spend at the conference.

you'll probly would definitly catch some flak for ditchin' the family with mickey and goofy for a couple hours... sounds like a mission impossible. lol ;)

might be better to make a last family stop at world wide corals in orange blossom trail on your last day.

Well, all of us on board can agree.... but ultimately it's the wife that I have to worry about. LOL Actually, she seems fine with the idea so far.

However, since I have a bit of a coral addiction it may be hard for me to see such a huge selection at presumably good prices when I can't actually buy any!

Nice to hear from you divott! How many corals are you up to now? I'm sure you've caught up to me and passed me by now. LOL

That's a hard question given the schedule hasn't been released. For me the talks are the attraction as I spend 9/10 of the time on the floor talking to people in our booth :)

I had heard that some of the talks were great, so maybe I'll just try to take in as much as I can in the time I have there.

Are there usually good deals to be had on the trade show floor? I may hold off on a few purchases I was planning this summer if there's a chance I could make out like a bandit at the convention.

Most vendors do have "show deals". some are insane, other just ok. Exhibitors like me don't sell though, that's pretty common amongst manufacturers.

If you do make it in, stop by the Reef Nutrition booth and say hi. My real name is my screen name :D
