anyone have any live stock suggestions? at first i was thinking like a nano(clown goby firefish clown fish) but i dont think bright colored fish would look good in here. maybe something more toned down like a pair of seahorses some banggais and a blenny... idk. also do you think i should put lie rock in there to seed the beach rock/base rock. the bacteria would be good but i dont know how coralline algae would look in there. any opinions/suggestions welcome.

    Are you dosing with iron?

How about just local species like atlantic blue tang (might eat macros), spotfin butterfly, 4 spot butterfly, yellowhead jawfish, lots of bass/basslets, porcupine puffer, royal gramma. Lots of cool stuff around to make it a local tank.

If you don't dose with Iron, you'll probably lose your penicillus plants fairly quickly

Just a comment on the bread racks. We often stack hundreds of pounds of servers on them - same racks in use for several years...

Not sure what they're rated at, but I've been impressed with them at work anyway...

Not saying you should stick with it or anything... just an experience ;)

macro's look great! I've got a firefern and flame algae from them too in my tank.

not trying to hijack your thread but will my critters eat macro if I order some, I have been wanting some and am afraid my emerald mythrax will eat it, I also have two large hermits, abunch of dwarf hermits, and a spiny blue lobster...there was some macro on a mushroom rock I bought and its been almost destroyed by something overnight...

yeah i was just making sure i was gonna buy the right one.

yeah i thought about doing like a caribbean tank. dont think its big enough for the tang or butterflies. but yeah thought about adding a lantern and chalk. was thinking of taking a trip to Sea Life Inc. but not sure if theyre open to the public. they seem to have local stuff. good idea thanks!

Looks beautiful so far! I've been wanting to get some too, but like sweetriden76 says, I'm worried they'll get gobbled up also...an observation I made in one of your pics: your tank is right in front of a window? Interested on how you'll combat the effects of that...I'm moving soon, and one of the ideal spots for my 75g is right in front of a window, but I don't have the guts to try it...I've had my fair share of algae blooms, and I'm not going through that again lol...

Thanks! you too peredhil! yeah i usually keep the blinds closed but im debating whether or not to open them in the morning :they face east: hopefully the algae WILL bloom =p the thing to see is how the temp will be coming up now in the summer months of march-october here in miami. might have to put up a reflector. Thats what id suggest for you if youre concerned put a reflector in the window or a backdrop on the aquarium to block the light. idk GL though! and thanks again

    as far as fishy consumption
