    FIRST CORALS!

Today I went to the Saltwater Specialty LFS and got some frags.

I put the Xenia in a low flow area because thats just what ive heard and its looking pretty good, the GSP only has 1 polyp out and it looked great in the LFS's tank. My light should be plenty. i plan on doing weeky/biweekly water changes, is this sufficient? (i only have a 10g HOB filter)

That sounds fine to me about the water changes. The GSP will probably like a moderate flow area not to close to light. I have mine on the sand bed in moderate flow, it is doing awesome.

Just saw this attatched to my Xenia. Looks like a kenya tree piece to me (i also remember the LFS keeping kenya's near the xenia). an ID would be nice :)

same here! they really are beautiful corals, and they grow like weeds in any tank. who said too much of a good thing is bad? oh yeah.... everyone....

on another note your tank looks great! 5 gallon is a perfect pico size, i sure love mine.

Kenya trees like to frag themselves when they get bigger lol. I have little frags of them all over my tank in spots I didn't think I would have them lol.

in my 5 gallon i once picked up one of my largest base rocks and found a 5 inch stalk of kenya tree underneath it, entirely squished but still seemingly thriving.
