thats not a cleaner shrimp, its a pepermint. a skunk or cleaner will be 3x the price of what you paid for urs and will be more social. peps will be rarely seen but are good for aiptasia

IMO, ya prob can't add much to a 20g with 2 established yellowtails in it! Ya can try, but those lil buggers are satan's spawn when it comes to adding other fish! cool tank though, congrats!

    UPDATE

The 2 Damsels in my tank are quite agressive to newcomers.

when i added the peps they nipped them 1 hid on the powerhead (lol) and the other disapeared and i found a outer skin of a shrimp . so i figuire hes just molting. Hes still hiding in the LR (i think... idk where else he could have gone). The Other shrimp is scared of the damsels and only comes around at Night.I think i regrett getting those damsels... The Zoa is looking good all polyps are out and the Kenya tree is littering pieces all around but i dont mind if it grows. My finger leather is healthy also.

I made a 15-20g salt mix in my closet so water changes will be ALOT easyer

i bought a Marineland Timer (same as my brother has) and its being VERY unreliable the pins keep popping up and turning the light off (confusing the fish). So i will probably get a new timer soon unless i can fix this thing...(btw my bothers' is working Perfectly) thanks for all the positive feedback!

Can you arrange to get the timer sent back? More than likely a faulty unit. Damsel wise in that size tank you`d probably be pushed to get anything else in there without some headaches. I had a 11g with a single Clarkii and she would be a nightmare with anything that was introduced. Damsels are probably one of the hardest to mix with other fish unless their is pleanty of space for them to occupy.

    Good luck :)

I would ditch the damsel's! They are a mistake, +1 on the clowns, can you trade for clowns? What sort of lighting are you using? I see you have only soft coral which is fine, but if you want to grow hard coral, you will need intense lighting. Keep up on your partial water changes, I change 10-20% every week and my tank is doing great! Make sure to mix your salt water at least 24 hours in advance before adding to your tank. Try and make your paramaters as close to the tank water so as not to stress the fish.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
In a 20 gallon tank I would just remove the damsel and find it a good home like your sump, that is where I keep mine.

Bigger tanks it's not so much of an issue. A 20 gallon tank makes it harder to establish territories and reduced area for hiding.
