I was bored and decided to make the rounds at all the local pet stores and picked up some deals.

First purchase was an AC 50 for $15 that I will be modding to run as a refugium on my 12g Nano.

    Next was a Penn-Plax Expanda-Shelf for $2.

It looks like it's supposed to hold fish food or maybe an air pump on the side of a tank, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to drill a bunch of holes in it and turn it into a frag rack.

Finally, I found a gravel vacuum kit for my HOT Magnum for $6.

Now I have no excuse to clean my tanks since I have a simple powered vacuum that doesn't require me to lug 10 gallons of water around to replace all the water I had to siphon out.
(Note: the kit comes with just the vacuum and the adapter for the inlet to the canister, not the rest of the stuff shown.)

Bad news, I pulled my old HOB filter and powerhead out of the tank and got the AC200 going. Gave the tank a quick inspection to make sure everything was ok and I could find only 1 clown fish. Looked around more and more until I finally found him dead behind my tank stand. He some how managed to jump out through the small gap between the lights and all the equipment. The larger clown was always chasing and beating up on him, but I never expected him to actually jump out of the tank to get away from her.

BTW, it is the old Aquaclear 200 (50 gallon tank model), not the new Aquaclear 50 (old mini) model.
