Made the leap--own two corals now

    Well, all. After much preparation, I purchased two hardy corals.

    Here they are, a green polyp (what I think is a zoanthus) and a rock with a few purple/blue mushrooms.

    I'm happy to report that they both look fuller and happier/healthier in my tank after 24 hours than they did in the LFS!

    sweet!! For some reason, I cant have mushrooms. They dont last long in my system.:(

    Nice mushrooms. We have a rock about that size and the number of mushrooms has nearly doubled in five months. Also, once they become fully acclimated, probably a couple of months, they will get huge. Ours get so big, they entirely cover the rock they are on and the rocks on either side.8)

    That is strange luna. In my nano I had to return rock and all because they were over grown to the point my lid wouldn't shut......lol. Well almost...

    ReefSparky...they look really nice!!! VERY healthy!! I'm so jealous!


    luna...I think you and me are in the same boat sometimes! My ricordia were looking great and they've shrunk lately.....one of the orig. ones is MIA and I've tried them a long time ago and they just seem to shrivel up and disappear

    The lfs i frequent never carrys anything worth buying, can i ask what you paid, don't really know whats a good price for something like that, just want to know when i'm getting ripped off i guess

    Sure ya can! When I asked the LFS guy, he said $34.99 for the zoas, $40 for the shrooms. I offered $70 for both and he accepted.
