mag too high ???

    I tested my reef tank and mag level is 1600 is that normal????

    not to bad. as long as your calcium is around 450-500, salinity is at 1.026 and your alk is 10-12dkh. dont dose anymore mag containing products.

    check those calcium, salinity and alk out to see where your at. and report back to us.

    I keep my mag almost at that level - it was 1570 at one time (due to starting with a FOWLR and having a 6 month play about with purple up so all my numbers where high when I decided to start a reef tank - 1570 mag, 468 calc and 10 DKH )

    I love it when new members are already testing for things like Mg.. K+ to you sir...

    My preference is between 1300 and 1500, but thats just me.. What are your other params.. Nitrate, Calcium, Alkalinity, Salinity, and Temp..
