    sorry for the late response, I was out of town.

    It is actually an ELOS test. The rest of mine are Salifert. I realized I made a mistake on the instructions (seems to be english as a second language) and kept the water in the vial instead of putting more of the aquarium water into it. I dosed too causing it to go up to 1,600. Far cry from 550 eh? I will be doing a water change tomorrow, is there anything else you can think of I should be doing to get it below 1,400?

    Stop dosing Magnesium. ;D

    Just let it go down naturally through consumption (coral growth) and water changes. 1600 is high, but not alarmingly high. 1800+ is a level to be concerned with.
