Mg is 1840 ppm! Is that to high? If so how do I get it to come down? All other parameters are exact.

That is a bit high for Mg. I keep mine around 1250-1300 ppm. You can do a water change to help bring it down. What did you do to get it so high?

When you tested it did you add the 5 drops one at a time and swirl for 15 seconds or put all 5 in and swirl? It will make a difference so one drop at a time.

I don't know what I did to get it so high. And no I don't do it one drop at a time but I will tonight. This weekend is water change weekend so I hope it drops! Thanks

I had my mg at 1800+ for 3 month while I was battling bryopsis outbreak. Only bryopsis was affected. So, don't sweat it, and gradually bring it back down to 1450..1350 range over several weeks.

Also, might want to test your salinity. Chances are it's way up too.

What are your other parameters? What salt do you use? What do you dose (if anything)? I am betting it may be a testing error as well.

I personally wouldn't worry about it, even if it is that high. As mentioned, high mag is common to treat Bryopsis and will not affect corals. No reason to scramble to lower it.

Eh, your alk and calcium are high as well. How do you check salinity? You have to be around 1.028 with those numbers...
