Does your magnet float make scratches in your tank? I think mine did, I never noticed it till now how many scratches I have on my biocube lol...
Is there anyway to get rid of scratches for glass tanks

There are scratch removal kits for glass tanks but they're expensive, a pita, and you'll have to drain your tank to use it. The cause of a mag float scratching your tank is commonly debris on the scrubbing pad, this can occur when sand gets trapped between the pad and the glass, it can also happen if there were some iron impurities in your sand that the magnet has pulled out (this may be hard to see and detect) closely inspect your scrubbing pad, also baby snails can get between the glass and scrubbing pad and their hard shells can cause gouges in the glass when you're moving about your tank walls.

Yeh you have to clean debris out of the scrubber surface occasionally to prevent scratches.

Also spray down the outside of the tank with RO/DI water and whip it off with a clean paper towel to remove any salt crystals that may have occurred due to salt creep.

My mag float has scratched the hell out of my glass tank. All it takes is a piece of sand to get caught in it. I tried buffing with a glass polish one time when the tank was empty but it didn't work.

When you go down to the bottom of the tank you can easily pick up pieces of sand and that is like a glass cutter. I used to cut glass and I'll tell you sand will scar and cut through glass easily. I run my fingers over the scrubbing pad as soon as I see a piece of sand stuck to it. I also loosen the grip by pulling away slightly to take pressure off and bring the scrubber to the surface. Good luck.
