Magnet Suggestions For a 3/4" Acrylic Tank?

    Can anyone suggest a good magnet? I found the Tiger Shark for about $85.:eek:

    That's not a bad price. The rare earth magnets needed for that thick of material are very expensive. I've seen scrapers like that for over $200.

    I use the tiger shark on 3/4 glass, works like a champ.

    Just a word of warning...be careful with acrylic and magnet cleaners. If you get any substrate caught in it, your tank will scratch. We never use magnets on our acrylic setups (they simply aren't as controllable).

    3/4" acrylic is expensive (we have such a beast), and it would suck to scratch it up.

    A little late, but I use the plain old white "for acrylic" pads. I hang one finger below the pad when I'm cleaning near the substrate so my finger hits it rather than the pad, so no substrate particles contaminate the pad.

    I'm 30" deep... I can't even reach the bottom. I had to buy a 36" Grabber
