    Great info everyone- my LFS is fairly poor- so having this option and knowing which ones not to waste $ on is great- thankyou!

    The one thing that has put me off to mail order is most of the ones that I have looked at charge several fees plus shipping to where if you add fish one at a time, you are paying $35 or more to have one fish shipped. Is the quality of the mailorder worth this extra expense?

    For the corals at coral dynamics it is. Marine Fish in Roswell wanted close to $40 for a small xenia. I got the same size colony from coral dynamics for $12. Granted the shipping was $38 dollars - but that was per box. I ordered 6 corals at a time and paid just over $100 total - including shipping. It worked out to about $18 per coral. It pays to order in bulk that is for sure...that way you can average the shipping costs out.

    Check out themarinecenter.com. They are supposed to be very reliable and carry rare specimens as well.
