I have 3in of sand live rock and micro algae with a light that i have set to run 8 hours during the night. Besides that what other info can you guys help me out with on these things?? I have heard of growing pods in them?? whats the process of that? Thanks.

Chances are you are already growing copepods! If ya want to seed it you can buy copepods and amphipods and phyoplankton to feed them! Or just buy some seeded chaeto from ebay for cheap and done! Rest sounds good!
