Maintaining ca/alk via 2part dosing?

    Thanks for the info. Cosmo and I were just talking about dosing the big three. :)

    If one were to continue dosing, but without increasing the amount of the additive, I realize this would inhibit the best coral growth. But would it have ayn actual negative affects aside from a slower growth rate (just wondering) ?

    Hi Seano. Can you please reword that question?

    I think you are asking if you need to increase your dosage? Slowly, over time, as coral grows it will utilize more of your elements and you will need to increase your times. IME, this is like a once a year thing. Coral absorption rates do increase as they grow, but this stuff grows very slow.

    It wouldn't cause slower growth, per se. what would happen is your numbers would start to drop (I test monthly only and this is what I am checking for) as the coral uses it up. You'd run into issues associated with dropping Alk, etc.

    But I am only guessing at what you are asking ;)
