hello I got a oceanic trickle filter model 75 and other than pump maintenace I was wondering if there is anything else I need to do. I checked the net and couldn't find anything for that model. I bought my set up used many years ago and now just getting serious about it and never thought about maintenace for the sump until now.

Looks like it could use a good cleaning.

Normally all the maintaince a wet dry needs is an regular cleaning. Vacuum out the detritus that builds up, clean up the salt creep, and clean any filter pads/sponges.

You might also have some snails etc that made if through the overflow on the drip plate if that filter has one.

If there is a lot of detritus on the bio-balls cleaning them is a good idea, but only swish them in salt water, so you do not loose the good bacteria.
