    Hey everyone,

So i got my live rock and found that it was great quality. Has alot of friendly detritus eating bristleworms and feather dusters. I also found some cowries who are constantly burrowing down the sand (Only 2 of them though). I will probably be removing the cowries when they get bigger, since they tend to be much less reef safe when they get bigger (Btw any info on this?). But then i saw this beautiful anemone that had bright green coloration with almost bubble round tips. I was amazed at the beauty of this coral, but then again i've only heard bad things about hitch-hiking anemones on live rock. So i checked the internet, and i identified it as "Majano Anemone". I panicked cause i knew that they were EXTREMELY hard to get rid of. Then i saw some Aiptasia, but i quickly got rid of it with boiling water, which was actually surprisingly easy. Then i tried to blow boiling water into the mouth of the Majanos, and they just shrank down into their holes and got really tiny. I then continued to blow boiling water directly into its mouth, and i thought it was dead. But the next day i could see them trying to get out again (I could see the green tips). I thought "Well i go see what people say on 3reef". So right before i made this thread, my dad came into my room and found another majano anemone, and a tiny little aiptasia. I'm getting crazy! What can i do guys, some easy ways to get rid of them without buying all sorts of wierd stuff?! Cause i always hear to buy some wierd products like joes juice or then they say i need to get a needle syringe and inject lemon juice into them. I JUST CANT DO THAT! I cant find any needle syringes, lol :D. Anyways please help me! Cause i'm getting crazy about these pests. I dont want to introduce alot of corals that are expensive that just get stung by those pests :( Please help guys, any easy solutions?

I had my own battle with majano nems best thing I found to work is pickling lime same thing as kalk but alot cheaper you can buy a bag of it for less than 3 bucks most grocery stores carry it. Mix up a paste about the consistency of tooth paste. I used a pipet to squirt it on them it worked just make sure all your pumps are off when you do it

I had really good luck with 3 peppermint shrimp who ate every single aiptsasia in my tank in about a week-10 days. I'd give that a try but feed only mysis shrimp, what they will eat in 2 minutes then one more swirl, once in the AM once at night. It will keep the cinnamons hungry so they go after the aiptasia. Just my personal experience.
