Majano anemonies

My roommate has a tank full of manjano anemonies. we were told by the the fish store that by sticking a seringe in the anemonie and filling it up with lemon juice would kill them.

Any knowledge on this and what are the harms for doing this in a tank?

Any other ideas on how to get rid of them?

on thing that i heard on this site that sounded like a good idea was to shoot burning hot water at there bases so they let go, then net it out. this seems like a great way because alot of times more can grow from the fragments.

 

you can use kalk paste as well and inject it into the majeno. Joes juice, aiptasia X, lemon juice, and even boiling water injected into the body of these all work.


if you use kalk paste, only nuke a few a day

 

I did kalk paste for my moms majano's Worked great. I also use the paste for my tank for aiptasiaWhat I found is the easiest way is to just got some powder, dip a feeding stick or somethihg in the water, then get some paste and put it on the majano. I used to make the paste but the more I treated during the time the more watered down the kalk paste got

 

I have tried lemon juice, hot water, vinegar, etc and none ever worked. Joe's Juice takes immediate care of them.
