I am sorry to give you this news but this comes from my own personal experience and trial and error by my friends as well the injection method whether joe's juice , kalk paste , lemon juice or boiling water are not going to solve the problem long term it will give some quick results but it is short lived they will come back for sure. I have successfully ripped them off with a surgical clamp and that works if you get the whole thing because if you partially rip them off you will leave fragments that multiply. The key to successfully ripping them off is to get them while they are on the move . Cover them up with a rock and when they start moving to the light you will have a shot at getting them off. How bad is it? I would strongly suggest taking any rocks that have a large group on them out of the tank and either letting the rocks dry out (Nuke Them) or scrub them off in a bucket and rinse them off good before putting the rocks back in the tank . If you have small groups of a few pests you can use 2 part epoxy and mix it up the press it on them underwater and entomb them . You have to get drastic and I know its gonna suck but these are a hard thing to deal with almost like bryopsis algae. Good Luck PM me with any more ?s

The idea that we purchase livestock with the idea that it is going to die anyway," so what" is disappointing to me. Regardless of the fact we should plan appropriately when stocking, pass on a nudibranch when it has done it's job. Everyone in this hobby has a part to play with regard to doing the right thing and repecting the animals we take from the ocean environment.
Personally I would not trade or sell any of my live stock to someone that had such disrespect for it.

i personally have passed on livestock....even snails. i didnt say i let things die or purchase them just for that sake, when all my algae was gone i passed on my foxface to someone else who needed it.as for the snails i provied lettuce and nori sheets for them. for my nudi's i got a 1 gallon container filled it with saltwater and liverock so when my DT was done my nudis had somewhere to go and nems to eat while they waited to be passed on.

more then most people would do im willing to bet. :/ if you call that disrespect.... sorry

My point is that this is not the only post that I have seen of yours were it appeared that you just let nudibranchs die and that is did not have a negitive impact on the tank, as you stated. This type of thinking or post only encourges other that might be newer to the hobby to think it is ok.

We all have had to kill aiptasia, majonos, FW, but that was to prevent harm to the system over all and the animals we are responsible for.

I applaud anyone that goes the extra mile to do the right thing and that includes your efforts.

I've put bristletail filefish in large customer's tanks that we service. The store would go broke if we paid an employee to stand there with a syringe with any product (even hot water). It just isn't cost efficient. Nor are Berghia for my purposes. I've seen bristletails eat majanos but I've seen them eats tons of aiptasia. Klein's butterfly's are what I normally use for majanos.

I would talk with your LFS owner if it doesn't start eating them in a couple more days. I know from another thread that yours was at the store for a ridiculous amount of months. I wonder if he just likes prepared food better. (It can happen....many peppermint shrimp do great on aiptasia at first and then wait to be fed just like fish while aiptasia grow all over the place). I'm sure they would give you credit for the fish for a Klein's butterfly.
