I've put bristletail filefish in large customer's tanks that we service. The store would go broke if we paid an employee to stand there with a syringe with any product (even hot water). It just isn't cost efficient. Nor are Berghia for my purposes. I've seen bristletails eat majanos but I've seen them eats tons of aiptasia. Klein's butterfly's are what I normally use for majanos.

I would talk with your LFS owner if it doesn't start eating them in a couple more days. I know from another thread that yours was at the store for a ridiculous amount of months. I wonder if he just likes prepared food better. (It can happen....many peppermint shrimp do great on aiptasia at first and then wait to be fed just like fish while aiptasia grow all over the place). I'm sure they would give you credit for the fish for a Klein's butterfly.

There are a couple problems. The first is that my LFS is awful, but they are the only one in the area. The employees are nice, but the owners are terrible and have policies with no regard for fish and only regard for money. After you have had a fish for 24 ours, they won't give you anywhere close to full credit. Another, bigger problem, is that my tank is already at the stocking limit or maybe even a bit overstocked. Adding a Klein's may not be a good idea. Also, are they reef safe? I am worried about putting a butterfly in my reef.

My point is that this is not the only post that I have seen of yours were it appeared that you just let nudibranchs die and that is did not have a negitive impact on the tank, as you stated. This type of thinking or post only encourges other that might be newer to the hobby to think it is ok.

We all have had to kill aiptasia, majonos, FW, but that was to prevent harm to the system over all and the animals we are responsible for.

I applaud anyone that goes the extra mile to do the right thing and that includes your efforts.
