I just got an indipendant study course (get to pick a hands on research project and play with it) for 2 units in my Marine Biology course. Ive been handed over to a 90 with nothing but LR and apitasia, sand, glass, rocks smothered. Ive dealt with these alot (killed most in a tank with a coulpe hundred) for work/customers but never in this density. Anyone have any nuke tactics if there are no fish /coral to harm? That or ive got many hours of playing with needles......thanks guys/gals. BTW the setup is nice, 3 phs on a programable wave maker/timer and a euroreef skimmer, and a healthy dosage of PC. I want to get the tank up and running by the end of the semester with afew softies and 2 fish.....so i need to eradicate these lil buggers asap and get the water back in check after the ap holocaust.

What about crankin the heat or lowering it to an extreme? Is there anything else in the tank that would suffer from that? :D

THe micro-fauna....? Its a very mature system that hasnt changed in over 4 years....no fish nothing.....I think im going to need alot of juice, I think im going to try remoing the very large rocks and placing them in tubs and injecting them for a few hours.....its going to take at least afew weeks to get rid of all the big ones. I dont need to eliminate em just get them under a managable number so i can add corals....This is going to suck..... :D

Well, i began the extermination today with good sucess, killinhg off more than 1/3 of em with about 10 cc's total of Stop Aiptasia. I just hope i can get all the left overs out before they fowl the water too much....

The mechnical methods will never work because you will never get that many little ones. Any pics?
