I am torn between tearing down my aquascape or leaving it. I am about to stock up on coral and fish soon (withing a couple of days) and i need to get my aquascape where i want it. My concerns with the current one is that its not elevated enough and there is nowhere in the rocks were fish can swim through. Theres no break or holes. So whats your opinion? its up to you guys!!!

I know it might look good but... think coral and think fish

and please excuse the picture quality. I had to take it with my laptop

I would create more caves and hiding spots for fish. Also, the corals you choose may like differing elevations in the tank. So I would build up one side or the other with one or two little caves for them to hover in at night. So I would go ahead and redo it. Just try not to disturb your sand bed. A little is fine. Don't be too paranoid about it, just don't go double live gonzo.....

Try to have shelf type areas at all levels of the tank for different coral placement. You'll want some placed near the top and other at the bottom and all in between.

    Good luck.

post pics after you do this!!!

ok i re-did it and it looks really good. Shelves, caves, the whole bit. I kept the base and removed everything else. Ill take pictures in about 30 minutes when the tank is cleared all the way... maybe sooner.

BTW, thanks for pushing me to re-aquascape. Im hesitant because 90% of the time when i re-aquascape, i find myself trying to get things back to the way they were. In other words, regretting that i tried to change it.

Sorry did not notice 20GL.. No on the Tangs and Angels. Yellow tail damsel swim in and out. I will have to think of some small fish.
