Make Eshopps Quieter?

    Is is possible to make an Eshopps HOB overflow any quieter? Mine sucks air pretty loudly and its sort of annoying. Any tricks I should know about?
    I have the PF-800 model. and my pump does 600 GPH. Also if I needed to slow down my pump which is the best way? Thanks in advance.

    You can put a ball valve on the return to the tank to match the return pump and overflow speed.

    As for quieter, I stuck a piece of styrofoam in the top of it, that helps. It still makes noise but it's not as bad.
