making a internal overflow box

    hey all i am thinking about making a internal over flow box is there any rule as to how high i should have it?

    Mine touchs the rim of the tank and is siliconed into that, it works well but the overflow doesnt flow enough water. One day im goign to re-design it but thats the way I got it so i left. Make sure you have ur slits at a good point in the overflow and that theres plenty of them you dont want the tank to not be able to flow the water and flood your place.
