Ok so I purchased the tools to make my own phytoplankton and rotifers.

I bought Rotiefer cysts and a rotifer seive from brineshrimpdirect.com
And I bought phytoplankton food and 2 liters of live phytoplankton from westmariculture.com

I have started collecting my finished 1 liter soda bottles and sterilizing them. I adventually am gonna transfer my production to bigger containers but these are a good start. Now just got to wait for my stuff to come in and fun I will have.:-/

I've wanted to start a project like this for myself for some time now.
I'll be looking forward to some pics for ideas and encouragement.

Just remember, the rotifers eat a HECK of a lot of phyto so you need a LOT more bottles of phyto than you do rotifer bottles.

Yeah I got the room for it lol. I will be making phyto for a while before I start to make rotifers for sure. As soon as the stuff gets shipped in I will document the process and post pics up on here!

Make sure you keep them away from each other they will go airborne and jump containers and then you will have all of one kind

Yeah if your going to grow roti's and Phyto put the bottles for each at the opposite end of the House or you going to end up with noting but Rotifers. even doing this isn't a guarantee that it will work.

Even if he's using the caps for the bottles with a hole through them...?

I don't think "keep a large distance" is gonna be a problem anyway, this guy's got a warehouse of clams.
