If I have some big chunks of liverock that was nuked. Can I make it live again by putting it in a big tub filled with water from a water change from the main tank?
Or do I need to also mix in some of the live rock from the main tank?
Do I need to run a powerhead in the tub or can it just sit?
    How long will it take?

Bacteria is what you're after. Use a piece of live rock for a few weeks with plenty of flow and your base rock will be plenty seeded.

you'll need an ammonia source too or there will not be alot of bacteria to make the rock live, a single small piece of shrimp or even a damsel will do.

Thanks guys. I guess it will be easier to just add a piece a week in the main tank.

What are you doing with this rock? are you just adding it to your display tank? if yes, just add it all. there is nothing living on the rock to cause any problems. or have i misunderstood?
